October 26th, 2008: New songs online!
A couple of days ago we uploaded two new songs to our Myspace
page. "Pencils And Ink" and "Famine, Pestilence, Death" are taken from the upcoming album
"When Fear Is All Around Us" that will be released by Shield Recordings on the 6th of December
at our releaseshow at Merleyn in Nijmegen, The Netherlands.
Last Thursday, Friday and Saturday we played a couple of shows in France and Belgium and
we had a blast. Lots of fun and we got to spend a couple of hours in the city I love, Paris.
We're busy booking a tour for January 2008. If you want to help us with a show, get in touch!
October 17th, 2008: Weekend tour next week!
Hey there! We're almost done recording the new record, but there's still a lot of work
to do concerning mixing and mastering. But we found some time to play a couple of shows.
Next week we'll play some shows in France and Belgium. Unfortunately there is still no show
confirmed for the 24th of October, so if you can help us out, that would be really nice! You
can get in touch here!.
Next to our releaseshow on the 6th of December we will be playing a 'Belgian releaseshow'
at Rockcafé in Leuven together with Second Base. So if you want to get your hands on the new
record and you live near Leuven, don't miss it!
Our buddies in This Routine Is Hell have a record releaseparty as well on the 19th of
December in De Overkant in Wageningen. We'll play too and it's gonna be a great party!
See you on the road!
September 19th, 2008: A small update...
We're still in the middle of recording our new album. Music's done, vocals not yet.
We'll do that in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned!
News about our releaseshow, it will take place on Saturday the 6th of December at
Merleyn in Nijmegen, together with a bunch of awesome bands. Omission (yes, they're back!),
Citizens Patrol and This Routine Is Hell will play too. Holy shit! That is what I have to
say about this!
In January we'll hit the road for 9 days. No shows confirmed, but we're working on that.
Going to new places, going to places we've been before. Making new friends, meeting old
friends... can't wait 'til January. Hope to see you on the road!
August 12th, 2008: We're hitting the studio in a couple of days!
Last
Tuesday and Thursday I've been to the best shows ever (okay, together with Hot
Water Music that is). Propagandhi we're playing Temse, Belgium and Bochum,
Germany. Absolutely brilliant and inspiring! Too bad the other band retards
missed it. Fucking goofs!
Anyway, next Sunday we're off to Oldenburg, Germany to lock ourselves in the
studio with Pitter O'Harrie to record our new full length album. We'll be there
a whole week and hope to record everything we want to record. To bad I'm going
to miss the As Friends Rust reunion shows, but hey, I saw Propagandhi twice!
Well, wish us luck and while we're gone, don't forget to check out some cool
bands:
Venerea has new
recordings, Enemy
Alliance has new recordings,
Ends Like This
has new recordings,
Atlas Losing
Grip has a new record out and
The
Indecision Alarm are still hot! Jävla skit, that's only Swedish bands...
Helvete! Check out
Victims,
Sista Sekunden,
Strangler and
Anchor too, they
all rock! Next time I'll recommend non-Svenska bands.
June 27th, 2008: Smash The Statues joins Shield Recordings
 |
We are very happy to announce that our next record will be releases by
Shield
Recordings from The Netherlands. You might know Shield Recordings
from the releases of Antillectual, The Real Danger, Gascoigne, Heartfelt,
On Fire, Said And Done and lots of other bands. They are also going to
release records by The Hunger and our Swedish buddies Atlas Losing
Grip.
Joining a new record label means that we are actually going to record a new
album. Yeees, we're in the process of writing new songs. We will hit the
studio in August this year and the release is scheduled somewhere this fall.
Again we will go to Die Tonmeisterei in Oldenburg, Germany where we recorded
Against The Stream.
More info about the recordings, release and other small talk discussions
will follow! |
June 9th, 2008
"Unfortunately!" (Heijmans, 2008), our show in Zwolle next Wednesday got cancelled. We
won't be playing at Broer CO-9 with our buddies in Astpai from Austria and Rush 'n Attack
from Freezeland. There are some problems with the municipality in Zwolle and Broer CO-9
doesn't want to risk the permit they will get for doing shows over there. Hope everything
will turn out fine.
But! Our friends in Astpai are looking for another show on Wednesday the 11th of
June. I know it's in two days, but if you are able to help, please get in contact with
them on their myspace. Great
band, great guys!
May 9th, 2008: Spring Sale
Hey! We want to get rid of our old merch. We have a couple of old shirts, girlies and
one hoodie left from the old designs. They're all pretty cheap! Be quick or they're gone!
Check it out at our little webshop!
May 7th, 2008
Last week we got back from tour. We had a wonderful trip to Germany, Sweden and Norway
together with our buddies in Antillectual. As usual, we made a nice tourreport for
you! This time Matthias is responsible for the bad jokes. Hey! Be glad it's not Bert who's
writing the tourreports! We posted the reports (4 in total) on our
MySpace blog.
February 27th, 2008: New shirts yo!
|
Last weekend our new shirts
arrived. This time the design is made by our friend Gijs from
uppergraphics.nl
and we must say it looks really cool!
We are also very happy to say that we found shirts that are actually 100
% sweatshop free. A lot of clothing companies start to pay attention to
Corporate Social Responsibility but still a lot of companies don't allow
organizations to check the workers conditions in third world countries. With
the brand Continental Clothing we found a brand that is linked to the Fair
Wear Foundation which makes sure that workers work under good conditions and
there is no children labor.
More reasons for you to order this goodlooking piece in one of the available
sizes (S, M and L) and sponsor our little capitalist punkrock ensemble!
Check out our merch section for details. |

February 18th, 2008: New tourreport online!
We finished the tourreport we made after our little trip to Germany, Austria and Slovenia. You can check it out
here!
Our buddy Dirk joined us on tour with a videocamera. Check out the videos he made here.
On tour with our buddies in Antillectual!
Next April, we will do a little tour with our buddies in Antillectual. We are planning a
trip to Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. We will be on the road from the 18th of April until the
27th of April. If you can help us out with some dates, don't hesitate to get in touch!
Dates are on our MySpace profile and in the shows section.
January 25th, 2008: Back from tour, again!
Last weekend we made a little trip to Germany, Austria and Slovenia where we played with some amazing bands,
hooked up with Austrian friends and had a party as hard as we like our rock 'n roll with our Slovenian brothers of
In-Sane. We would like to thank everybody for making this happen, especially Litty, Christian, Dario, Sasjo and Heino und
der Soeyknaben. Oh yeah! A big thanks goes out to Pitter Halbes Liter / Pitra Pol Litra and Dirk Trilob for driving us
and selling merch. Expect a nice tourreport with retarded pictues online soon and I think there will be a nice video as well.
Keep checking for updates. We'll probably post the report on the evil myspace. Bye bye now!
