All these years we've managed about nothing
Still you cheer and say
You're proud of what your forefathers have achieved
And I don't get it

Just one hundred years ago
We were still participating
In genocide in countries far away
The ground you stand on has been build over the backs of a million dead

We've managed nothing, what the fuck is there to be so proud of?
This country has a history, that tells nothing but abuse and slavery

Smash the statues that remind us of everything they've done
That makes me feel ashamed to say I'm Dutch!
